Shannon has more than 20 years of experience in oil and gas exploration and field development. Prior to joining Black Swan, Shannon served as Vice President of Operations for MDC Texas Energy. Past leadership roles with Devon Energy included Superintendent roles and Region Operations Manager for New Mexico Delaware and West Texas Permian. Shannon began his career with Yates Petroleum in 1991 and worked in a variety of leadership roles with increasing levels of responsibility, ultimately with roles as Superintendent and Engineering. Shannon has led numerous multi-disciplinary teams in the Permian and Delaware. Shannon attended Texas Tech University.
